Private by design
Your data stays where it is.
The AI model runs on your computer, so your spreadsheet and your questions are never sent to a company's servers.
CLAIR does reach out for a few things: checking your licence, looking for updates, downloading the AI model once, and anonymous usage stats if you choose to turn them on. It contacts eight hosts in all, listed in full on our trust page, and none of them ever receives your files, questions or answers.
Whether your institution allows a given dataset on a given tool is your institution's call. CLAIR's part is making sure the data does not leave.
Who it's for
Anyone with a spreadsheet and a question.
You do not need to code or to know statistics. Here is the kind of thing people ask.
Research
“Does the treatment group differ from the control group on the follow-up score?”

Government

Nonprofits

Students
“Is there a relationship between hours studied and exam score in my survey?”
Questions
Straight answers.
Is it free?
Yes, CLAIR is free during early access.
Does my data leave my computer?
No. The analysis happens on your machine. CLAIR contacts a short published list of hosts for your licence, updates, model downloads and opt-in usage stats, and never sends your data to them.
What computers does it run on?
Windows 10 and 11, and Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 15 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. It runs on any supported computer, and 16 GB of memory or more gives faster, better answers.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You ask questions in plain English and read the answers. There is nothing to install besides CLAIR itself.
Can I analyze survey data without coding?
Yes. Open your survey export, such as a Qualtrics file, an Excel sheet, a CSV or an SPSS file, and ask your question in plain English. For statistics, CLAIR runs a suitable test, checks its assumptions and reports an effect size.
Does it need the internet?
Only for setup, when the AI model downloads, and for signing in. After that it works offline.
Is it a substitute for a statistician?
No. CLAIR shows its work, with the rows and the calculation behind each answer, so you can check it. The AI can still be wrong, and a result is marked verified only when an exact calculation produced it. For decisions that matter, have someone you trust review the method.
Ask your data a question. Keep it to yourself.
Download CLAIR, drop in a spreadsheet and see the answer, and the rows behind it, in a few minutes.
