Get CLAIR

CLAIR is free during the alpha. Here's exactly what happens, step by step, with nothing skipped.

Have an invitation?

Sign in at the portal with the email your invitation was sent to, and download the installer.

Need access?

Access during the alpha is assigned by the CLAIR team to an invited cohort. Ask to be added.

The flow

From invitation to installed

  1. 1

    You're invited

During the alpha, access is assigned by the CLAIR team, not open signup. If you're reading this because you were invited, you're set. If you weren't, use the request access form below to ask.

  2. 2

    Sign in at the portal

Visit clairanalytics.app and enter the email address your invitation was sent to.

  3. 3

    Enter your 6-digit code

CLAIR emails a one-time code. Enter it on the portal to confirm it's really you.

  4. 4

    A short, optional survey

One quick screen asks who you are and what machine you'll run CLAIR on, so we can route you to the right installer. Every question is optional, and skipping all of them still gets you to the download.

  5. 5

    Download the installer

The installer link appears right after. It's a per-user .exe, no administrator rights needed.

Platforms

Windows today, macOS planned

Windows 10 / 11

The alpha ships a per-user installer (no administrator rights required). It installs like any other Windows application: Next, Next, Install.

macOS

Planned, not yet available. No macOS build has shipped: the packaging and Apple notarization work for it hasn't started. If you're on a Mac, let us know and we'll follow up when a build exists.

First launch

What to expect the first time you open it

Windows shows a blue warning screen

This is normal. The alpha installer isn't code-signed yet (a paid certificate, planned for after the alpha), so Windows flags it as unrecognized. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". It is not a sign anything is wrong with the file.

Install completes without an admin prompt

The installer runs entirely under your own user account. It works fine on a university-managed laptop where you don't have administrator rights.

First launch needs the internet, briefly

You'll sign in with your invited email and a 6-digit code. In the background, CLAIR also downloads a one-time library pack (about 1.5 GB, needed for Predict/Train, NLP, forecasting and advanced stats) and the AI model sized to your hardware tier (roughly 2 to 17 GB, see the hardware page). This takes a minute or two on most connections.

After that, it's offline

Once signed in and the one-time downloads finish, CLAIR works without an internet connection. It checks in quietly now and then to confirm your access is still valid, but this never blocks your work.

Updates arrive as a banner, never forced

When we ship a fix, CLAIR shows an "Update & Restart" banner. One click applies it. You can also ignore it and keep working; it will still be there next time.
