Legal
Terms
A short, plain statement of the alpha terms, not a boilerplate license agreement.
Alpha draft, not yet reviewed by counsel
This page describes the terms of using CLAIR during the invited alpha. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and it will be replaced by a formal agreement before any release beyond the alpha cohort.
Free during the alpha
CLAIR is free to use for the duration of the alpha. There is no charge, and no payment information is requested to use the app during this period.
Provided as-is
CLAIR is alpha software. Features can change, break, or be removed between updates, and it is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Use it at your own judgment, especially for anything that informs a decision with real consequences.
Access is per device, by invitation
CLAIR access during the alpha is invitation-based and tied to a signed, device-bound token: it activates for the specific device you install it on, then renews automatically in the background while your access remains valid. It is not a shared login for use across arbitrary devices.
Access can be revoked
The owner may revoke or decline to renew access at their discretion, including at the end of the alpha period.
Your data stays yours
CLAIR does not claim any ownership over the data you import or the results you generate. As described on the Privacy page, your dataset contents are not transmitted anywhere by CLAIR in the first place.
